Sustainable Bond Framework

QTC has established a Sustainable Bond Framework with the goal of supporting the Queensland Government’s commitment of financing green, social and sustainable economic activities.

The Framework sets out the governance and processes that underpin QTC’s issuance of green, social and sustainable bonds. It facilitates the issuance of:

  • Green bonds to finance and/or refinance eligible green expenditures
  • Social bonds to finance and/or refinance eligible social expenditures
  • Sustainability bonds to finance and/or refinance eligible green and social bond expenditures.

It is aligned with the International Capital Market Association (ICMA) Principles, including:

  • ICMA Green Bond Principles (GBP) 2021 (with June 2022 Appendix 1);
  • ICMA Social Bond Principles (SBP) 2023; and
  • ICMA Sustainability Bond Guidelines (SBG) 2021.
